host the inaugural Great Bloody Mary Mix Off on May 4th 2014 at the Gateway
Building in downtown Peoria from 1-4p. The event will consist of eight local
bars/restaurants competing to determine who has what it takes to crown
themselves the best Bloody Mary maker in Central Illinois. All proceeds from the
event go towards benefiting CBDC’s Community & Minority Outreach Programs.
Bartenders from Crusens, Jimmy’s Bar, Kelleher’s Irish Pub & Eatery, Kouri’s Pub,
One World Café, The Publik House, Salt, and TNT’s will compete for the titles of
“Best Dressed Bloody” (most creative garnish), “Spiciest Bloody”, and the
coveted “Best Overall Bloody”.
Attendee’s are encouraged to try a Bloody Mary from each competitor and
cast his or her vote for the winner of each category. All are welcome to enjoy
hors d’oeuvres from Cracked Pepper, live music provided by local band
A silent auction, cash bar, and Virgin Marys will be available.
Early Bird Ticket prices are as follows, $30 per ticket or $150 for a six-pack of
tickets. The event also sells tickets for $15 for designated drivers or patrons who
do not wish to drink or are not of legal drinking age.
