Sunga Orthodontics Now Utilizing Itero Digital Scanner

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Sunga Orthodontics is pleased to announce the addition of a new tool to their office, the iTero Digital Impression Scanner.  The iTero allows Dr. Sunga and team the ability to take 3D digital scans of the patient’s teeth and bite.

The iTero scanner replaces the traditional method of impression taking using trays and putty.  This eliminates the mess and gagging that some patients may experience which in turn provides for a better patient experience.  Patients can breathe and swallow naturally during the digital 3D scan.  Other benefits include shorter appointments, fewer appointments and greater accuracy which is especially important for Invisalign patients.  Another plus for Invisalign patients is a quicker turn-around time.
