A Phone Systems Provider in Los Angeles Gives Tips on Avoiding Security Issues for Iphone Users

Company providing phone systems to Los Angeles businesses reveals how to avoid security malfunctions for all Iphone Users. Doing so is crucial to the protection of private company and personal information.

PRLog - Mar. 26, 2014 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- LOS ANGELES, CA – March 26, 2014 – TVG Consulting has installed many phone systems in Los Angeles for all types of businesses.  Garett Chipman, owner of TVG Consulting, recently blogged about a security malfunction issue that has affected many Iphone users.  He believes that it is important to keep company or personal information safe to prevent invasion of privacy from hackers.  He states, “It came as a shock when, on February 21st, Apple officials announced that they had discovered a problem with Apple Inc software. The problem turned out to be pretty important – the Apple software failed to encrypt e-mails and other forms of communications, making them an easy prey for hackers with access to the user’s internet network.”  He explains how this could threaten users when they utilize Internet cafes or coffee shops.  He then says, “The fact that the software did not check whether the connection to various websites was authentic posed a great security risk as hackers could easily impersonate a generally protected website, and gather financial information from the users during their transactions or communication with them.”

Chipman tells his readers, “If you own an iPhone 4 or higher smartphone, but also a fifth generation iPod touch or an Apple 2 or higher, you need to search and download the iOS 7.0.6 update.”  According to Apple officials, the new update fixes the security malfunction issue.  Specifically, it fixed a bug, which allowed a potentially malicious user to bypass the password of the Lock Screen.  Before the iOS 7.0.6 update hackers were able to see all information on an Iphone that wasn’t theirs.  It is not hard to imagine the type of information this opened up for hackers.

Chipman states, “Our company encourages you to keep your smartphones up to date with the latest iOS updates. In this manner, you will be able to enjoy a perfectly functional phone, without any fears that your device might leak sensitive data to anyone who shouldn’t have access to it.
