Colliers International expands local presence with addition of IronStone Realty Advisors

HOUSTON - March 25, 2014 - PRLog -- IronStone Realty Advisors, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage company, is joining Colliers International. As a result, Colliers International Houston is able to even further expand its unmatched local presence and knowledge in Sugar Land and Fort Bend County, down to South Texas in the Eagle Ford Shale.

Barkley Peschel, President of IronStone, is looking forward to combining his intimate knowledge of the Fort Bend market and the Eagle Ford Shale with the global coverage and resources of Colliers International. Peschel has over fifteen years of experience in real estate, economic development, and government relations. Prior to forming his own company with IronStone, Peschel served on the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council (EDC) for ten years. His first position as Vice President of Redevelopment allowed him the opportunity to coordinate revitalization efforts in underserved areas of Fort Bend County. Following this, he served as Vice President of Development & Operations, establishing and sustaining vital relationships between the county and real estate developers, brokers, investors, site selection consultants, and local government officials. Those ten years gave Peschel personal insight into the governmental side of real estate and economic development and how counties seek to entice, recruit and grow businesses through various incentive packages.

Barkley serves as President of the Fort Bend Society of Commercial Realtors and is a Board Member on the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce. He is actively involved in his church and is co-founder of the Fort Bend CORPS, a nonprofit organization that provides free home repairs for elderly and disabled low-income homeowners in Fort Bend County. Barkley and his wife Jill are licensed foster parents through Loving Houston and volunteer with the Little Footprints foster/adoption rescue ministry.
