New Investment Casting Resin for 3D Printers

EAST BAY, Calif. - March 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Emeryville, CA - March 24, 2014 – MadeSolid, Inc., an advanced 3D printing materials company,  today announced the launch of an investment casting resin formulated for consumer level SLA/DLP printers.

After receiving high demand from a variety of customers, MadeSolid has developed a resin which prints in high resolution and has a clean burnout during the casting process. The resin is suitable for a number of casting needs including jewelry crafting. The formula is compatible with a number of SLA/DLP type printers, including FormLab’s Form1.

The formula is currently in beta and is being tested by casters across the US. MadeSolid has worked closely with Mind-2-Matter (http://mind-2-matter.com/), a local investment caster in San Leandro, who has been tremendously helpful in the development of the resin. Results so far are positive and production is expected to begin at the end of April.
