ROMULUS, Mich. - March 17, 2014 - PRLog -- APS Elastomers, North America’s fast-growing distributor and technical support resource for thermoplastic elastomers, now offers a new line of halogen-free, flame retardant TPE-S (styrenic block copolymer thermoplastic elastomer), TPV (thermoplastic vulcanizate) and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) for consumer and industrial electronic power cords and auxiliary cables. Specific applications for the new HFFR-Series of TPE-S, TPVs, and TPUs include mining cables, sensor cables, power plugs, charger cables, electronic power cords, battery cables, robotic cables, and ribbon wire.

Available in hardness range of Shore A 60 to Shore A 96 the new grades are easy to process and have good surface quality, conform to UL ratings, and comply with RoHS standards.

“With specific electrical properties needed in insulations, jacketing, molded fittings and connectors,  our specially compounded elastomer offers stability during extrusion and injection molding processability – reducing defects when overmolding onto complex circuitry”, says Stephane Morin, owner of APS Elastomers.

APS Elastomers is committed to innovation and cost- effective solutions in all areas of the elastomer business by developing new and better processing techniques.
