Alice Richey Joins Parker Poe as Partner in Charlotte Office

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - March 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP announced that Alice Carmichael Richey has joined the Firm as a partner in the Charlotte office.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Ms. Richey was a partner at Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman LLP and K&L Gates, LLP before founding her own firm in 2009.

Ms. Richey brings more than 27 years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. She has extensive appellate experience representing clients before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Ms. Richey regularly handles trademark proceedings before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

An active member of the Charlotte community, Ms. Richey has served on many local and regional committees. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Central Carolinas and chairs its Ethics Committee. She also serves as the chair of the Mecklenburg County Bar Law & Society Committee and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Ms. Richey has been recognized by many publications including Super Lawyers in North Carolina Business Litigation, Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation, Business North Carolina’sLegal Elite and Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. Ms. Richey earned her BA with highest honors from the University of North Carolina in 1982 and her JD with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1986.
