Clark MD and Jon Peet, MD are pleased to announce that our practice is first in our area to offer laser cataract surgery with the femtosecond laser—at no additional cost!  This cutting edge technology enables our surgeons to perform many of cataract surgery’s key steps, which have traditionally been performed manually, with the precision of a laser.  We can now provide your cataract patients the following benefits:

·        Customization with 3D imaging: Like a fingerprint, every eye is unique. Prior to treatment, the femto laser images the eye and makes a precise 3D map of relevant structures. The femto laser treatment is then customized to the unique anatomy of each patient.

·        Laser precision: Our surgeons can now can place incisions in the lens and cornea exactly as intended, with laser precision.

·        Gentle cataract removal:  The femto laser's unique lens softening capability reduces ultrasound energy requirements. This ultrasound energy reduction can translate to less inflammation and result in more rapid visual recovery for patients.

·        Ideal preparation for intraocular lens (IOL) placement: Accurate placement of the capsulotomy can optimize positioning and performance of the IOL.
