ACP Publishes Revised Fundamentals of Phlebology Textbook

Definitive text gets complete overhaul with latest science, techniques, and technology

PRLog - March 4, 2014 - SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- The American College of Phlebology (ACP) recently published a completely revised third edition of the definitive textbook, Fundamentals of Phlebology. Edited by ACP members Mark Forrestal MD, FACPh and Diana Neuhardt, RVT, RPhS, with more than twenty expert contributors from a wide range of specialties, the comprehensive textbook provides authoritative information on the pathophysiology and management of venous disease, as well as the most current treatment options available.

“This is the most up-to-date and exhaustive text on the subject of venous disease available,” stated Editor Diana Neuhardt. “Every chapter was written by experts who have all distinguished themselves in vein care.”

The third edition of Fundamentals of Phlebology covers the full extent of venous disease and treatments available today including:  lower extremity anatomy evaluations, classification and scoring systems, pelvic congestion, varicose veins, venous leg ulcers, sclerotherapy, ultrasound diagnosis and guided treatment options, lasers, endovenous thermal ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, surgery, and  setting up a practice, to name a few.

“This is a necessary addition for any practice dedicated to improving patient care,” said Editor Mark Forrestal.
