- Feb. 28, 2014 - AUSTIN, Texas --
At the ripe old age of eight, local Austin (Bee Cave), Texas resident Cash Bourgoyne knows a thing or two about making music. Having written his first song as a toddler, little Bourgoyne is now realizing a dream come to life with the release of his latest single, (Goodbye) now available to purchase online at iTunes/CDBaby and Amazon.com. Bourgoyne got his start with a set of $40.00 drums and a twenty-five cent, one-string, plastic guitar both found at local yard sales. Bourgoyne has been a You Tube favorite for years with his passionate, if not always correct, vocal styling. When asked how he crafts such emotionally mature lyrics, Bourgoyne answered, "I just like to put words together that sound cool."
To celebrate his achievement, his family asked what could be done if (Goodbye) reaches 100 downloads. Giving back is an important life lesson so the Bourgoyne family wants to donate $100. to the American Cancer Society if he reaches his goal. A family friend is currently going through a rough battle with the disease, and Bourgoyne stated that he wanted to do something to help.
