Eurotech Announces New Generation Low Power Embedded Module in Catalyst Family

COLUMBIA, Md. - Feb. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Eurotech (http://www.eurotech.com), a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, today announces the next generation of modules in the Catalyst series of embedded computers.  The Catalyst BT (http://www.eurotech.com/en/products/Catalyst%20BT) Computer on Module (CoM), based on the Intel® Atom™ E3800 series, will satisfy customers looking for industrial grade quad-, dual- or single-core performance with enhanced network and video capabilities while maintaining very low power consumption.  Designed for intelligent Internet of Things devices, the Catalyst BT delivers the next generation of high performance compute and graphic performance in Eurotech’s familiar 67x100 mm CoM form factor.

The Catalyst BT supports CPU speeds up to 1.91GHz, DDR3L memory, and I/O capabilities such as USB 3.0, PCIe expansion buses, and Gigabit Ethernet. With an extended temperature range of -40^oC to +85^oC, the Catalyst BT is ideal for both space- and temperature-constrained devices in medical, industrial, gaming, retail, and automotive markets.

The Catalyst BT is also compatible with ESF (Everyware Software Framework), Eurotech's Java-based software framework that allows portable, high level programming of embedded devices.
