Princeton Montessori School announces new Head of School

The Trustees of the Princeton Montessori Society announce the appointment of Michelle Morrison as the next Head of School and CEO of the Princeton Center for Teacher Education beginning in August 2014.
 
PRINCETON, N.J. - Feb. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Mrs. Morrison, currently the Director of Middle School, will bring her passion for the Montessori pedagogy, her gifted ability as a Montessori teacher, and her proven record as an esteemed and committed leader to the position.  In her more than 20 years at Princeton Montessori School, she has demonstrated remarkable leadership qualities and capabilities both within the School and as a highly regarded Montessori teacher trainer.

This decision followed a carefully structured search process that drew highly qualified candidates from around the country.  Lee Gardner, Trustee Chairwoman, shared this long-awaited announcement with the faculty this week saying, “It is deeply gratifying that the extensive search process resulted in the selection of a stand-out leader who developed and thrived from within our own community of superb educators and teacher trainers."

Marsha Stencel, the current Head of School and CEO, ends her 30 year tenure, filled with gratitude and appreciation to the Trustees, “for their selection of such a highly qualified and insightful educator to lead the vision of the School and PCTE.  The future for the School is bright and filled with a vibrant and astute community of learners and parents."
