As explained by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration)
Recently, Ukraine and Russia have also been hit by extreme cold snap and heavy snow. Russia has been known for its extreme winters with the lowest temperature to about −65°C (-85°F). Global warming is undoubtedly the reason behind these intensifications of weather and climate extremes. How do we deal with it and what can be done?
ALT has foreseen this type of extreme weather and has developed LED lighting for polar environments. Most LED lighting claim to be operable in low temperatures down to -40℃; ALT has taken a further step by designing lights to sustain even colder temperatures down to -65℃. Products with this special feature include PAR38, T8 tubes, A55, streetlights and floodlights. Such lights are also suitable for ships that must travel into the Arctic or Antarctic regions. Besides internationally recognized safety certifications such as CE, ETL, UL, C-tick and more, ALTLED® lights are tested and proven to work without fail in extreme environments.
We should no longer leave our environmental problems in the hands of environmental organizations only; global warming affects everybody and should be everybody’s responsibility. As an LED total solutions provider, ALT has taken on this mission to contribute, however big or small, to conserve and protect Mother Nature whilst improving lighting quality.
