Author Rich Samuels, a Valencia resident since 2007, is a producer of non-fiction television and web content, and is a winner of several Los Angeles Emmy awards, including one for Children/Youth Programming. He’s taught filmmaking workshops, been a news director and reporter, and produced numerous documentaries. While he insists that My Life at the Bottom of the Food Chain isn’t autobiographical, Samuels admits a kinship with his main character.
