Lee & Associates Illinois Promotes Rick Scardino to Principal

CHICAGO - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Rick Scardino, a 26 year veteran who founded the Retail Division of Lee & Associates’ Illinois office in 2010, has been promoted to principal, the firm has announced.

An expert in retail brokerage in the Chicago market, Scardino has closed numerous high-profile retail deals in his tenure with Lee & Associates Illinois, including the sale of the former Gold’s Gym and four new Red Robin leases in 2013.

“Starting the retail division for Lee Illinois has been an honor and a welcome challenge at this point in my career,” said Scardino.  “My experience is deeply rooted in retail brokerage, and it has been an opportunity to expand my reach with the wonderful platform that is offered at Lee Illinois.  While I welcome the new challenge and designation as principal, I look forward to continuing to cultivate our retail division and our opportunities in the Chicago marketplace.”

Prior to joining Lee, Scardino was the president of Affinity Commercial Real Estate (ACRE), a full-service boutique real estate brokerage firm that he founded in 2003.  He is also a former broker with Grubb & Ellis for nine years, where he earned numerous accolades. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and has been a member of the ICSC Illinois State Board since 2002.
