ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- No three year wait this time around! We at the House of Music and Entertainment (http://www.homebarchicago.com/) are ecstatic about MelodicRockFest 4, and taking everything that made show #3 great and ramping it up. More cult bands, more old favourites, and even more Swedes!

MRF4 (http://www.melodicrockfest.com/) will be North America's first chance to see some of the most in-demand European rock bands, including Work Of Art, The Poodles, and Europe’s most popular rock band H.E.A.T!

Joining them for the 3-Day rockfest are some of the USA’s most respected groups for a series of "best of" sets including Stan Bush, Mitch Malloy, Johnny Lima, and Paul Laine. Hard rockers Heaven’s Edge is also reuniting for MRF alongside Guardian, playing a rare live show with their classic lineup.

Additional MRF first-timers include rock superstars Shooting Star, and a trio of Sweden’s acclaimed rock scene artists: House of Shakira, Degreed, and Grand Design. Norway’s Faith Circus will ensure it isn’t an all-Swedish affair!

Returning to the party are Adriangale, Tango Down, Bombay Black, Crossing Rubicon, and Maxx Explosion, who will deliver a longer set after their late night MRF3 cameo.

Very popular Australian new comers, The Radio Sun, will return in a dual role, performing originals in their own set and reprising their role as Paul Laine’s backing band. Paul’s "best of" set will feature tracks from his cult classic Stick It In Your Ear and songs from his time in Danger Danger and the Shugaazer Project.

Also returning is the ever popular Mecca, once again joined by special guest Jimi Jamison! Together, they will again dig deep into the catalog for some fan favorites. There’s also the chance of a second very special guest!

MRF4 will also mark the very special live debut of two brand new projects! L.R.S. is a killer new project featuring vocalist Tommy La Verdi (21 Guns), Josh Ramos (The Storm, Two Fires), Michael Shotton (Von Groove, Airtime) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (Eden’s Curse, Revolution Road, Edge of Forever). The band will make their debut at MRF4, performing songs from their debut album and fan favorites from 21 Guns, Von Groove, and The Storm!

Lost Angeles is the other new project featuring Paul Sabu, Dennis Dries, and Eric Ragno. Their appearance MRF4 will feature songs from their upcoming debut CD, along with classic tracks from Only Child, White Sister, Tattoo Rodeo, and Paul's solo work!

Eric says of the supergroup, "Dennis and I have been swapping demos over lunches for a while now, and I found an incredible chemistry with Paul Sabu in the records we did over the last two years. Dennis and Paul are both great singers, and their new songs have a powerful honesty that really moves me...We've been looking for a reason to come together and see where our strengths might take us, and Andrew gave us that with MRF4. We respect each other's talents, we laugh a LOT, and we're recording at our own pace...We're having a real blast as we learn how to drive this thing."

Paul comments, "Playin' the show with such monstas as Eric Ragno and Dennis Dries. How cool is that[?]...So now we're already into a new killer album that we'll be kickin' off at the Festival...Glad to be back in the McNeice family again!"

Dennis adds, "I have to thank Eric and Paul for dragging me out from under the rock I'd been hiding under for the last couple of years. I feel reborn, and I now have some brothers to carry the spirit that got me into music in the first place. Paul and I connected right away, and it feels like only a few months have passed since the Tattoo Rodeo days...Eric is a true rock god...His keyboard work speaks for itself, and we're creating some exciting material together."

Cult rock project Loud Lion will be MRF special guests for an acoustic set featuring some of the songs from their one-off album. The band’s driving force of Bleu McAuley and Taylor Locke will hang around to mingle with fans over the weekend.

Rounding out the MRF4 lineup are hard rockers Talon, debuting tracks from their new album and backing Stan Bush, just like they brilliantly did back in 2002 at the UK Gods Festival.

Mark Giovi (Far Cry) returns in his new band Romeo Riot. Additionally, 7th Heaven will come up with something special, closing out Friday night with one of their regular late night shows, with low cost entry after 11:00 p.m. for their local fan base.

All the expected highlights and plans for MelodicRockFest 4 are impossible to summarize in one press release, so expect further updates and details to soon follow. Tickets for MRF4 will go on sale Wednesday, January 15th with various VIP options available as well as standard General Admission tickets for each day.

An exclusive pre-show acoustic set from Sweden’s H.E.A.T. is planned at the event hotel for the Thursday before the festival. Further details of this event will be announced soon, but restricted to Green, Gold, and Platinum VIP ticket holders ONLY.
