FREDERICK, Md. - Jan. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Combining their distinct sounds and talents, Philadelphia-native Temika Moore is teaming up with Washington, D.C.-based Kenny Wesley to present an evening of music at the Weinberg Center for the Arts. Part of the Weinberg's Tivoli Society Discovery Series, their performance will take place on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

Echoing elements of jazz, soul and gospel music, Moore has shared the stage with the likes of Will Downing, Roy Ayers, Marcus Johnson and the late Stanley Turrentine. A graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Creative & Performing Arts, Moore went on to study music at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she received the first Ella Fitzgerald Music Scholarship award.

The North Carolina-born, Washington, D.C.-based Wesley is a fan-favorite of the FOX television series So You Think You Can Dance; his newest single, “Damaged Goods," debuted on the program in May 2013. Wesley has been a three-time nominee for the Washington-Area Music Awards (Wammies) and recently received second prize as the U.S. representative for the 2013 Montreux Jazz Festival's Shure Vocal Competition. His debut, full-length album, The Real Thing, has received a warm reception from both pop and soul worlds, heralded as a progressive, groundbreaking effort. http://youtu.be/zPDkEQqZKCM
