Cancer Support Community of MA South Shore Announces Continuation of Healthy-Steps Program

NORWELL, Mass. - Jan. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- The Cancer Support Community- Massachusetts South Shore (CSC-MSS), a non-profit organization offering support programs to people diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, is offering, once again, the 8 week program, Healthy-Steps™ .The program begins Thurs. Jan. 23rd and runs for 8 weeks from 10-11 a.m. It will take place at their facility at 120 Longwater Drive suite 104 in Assinippi Park in Norwell.

Debbie Lyn Toomey RN, of Ultimate Healing Journey, a certified Healthy Steps facilitator, will again lead the program which the CSC-MSS began offering to people in 2013. Healthy Steps, also known as the Lebed Method, is a medically proven movement and exercise program that focuses on stimulating the lymphatic system. It combines slow, smooth and resistive movements to wonderful music to help participants feel better physically and emotionally. The program can be done sitting or standing and experts believe it improves balance and gait. This is free for people diagnosed with cancer.
