Dallas Litigator Brian Shaw Named Partner at Shackelford, Melton & McKinley

Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- DALLAS – The business and entertainment law firm Shackelford, Melton & McKinley, LLP, is pleased to announce that Dallas litigator Brian P. Shaw has been named a partner, effective Jan. 1.

An experienced commercial litigator in state and federal district courts, Mr. Shaw regularly represents companies and individuals in the construction, real estate, and oil and gas industries. He also has a successful track record in federal bankruptcy matters, and represents clients in state and federal appellate courts, including the 5^th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. He joined Shackelford, Melton & McKinley’s Dallas office in 2008.

Relying on his extensive experience at the district and appeals court levels, Mr. Shaw also represents clients in significant arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association and other arbitration panels.

A graduate of Baylor Law School, Mr. Shaw earned his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Georgia. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas, and currently serves as a member of the Dallas Bar Association and Dallas Young Lawyers Association.
