Essex Based PMS Leasehold Management win coveted Property Management prize

COLCHESTER, U.K. - Dec. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Essex based property management company, PMS Leasehold Management Ltd., has won the News On The Block ‘Regional Property Management Company of the Year’ award for 2013/14.

The News On The Block Property Management Awards (PMAs) are organised annually by News On The Block, a monthly publication designed to assist owners of Leasehold Property.  The PMAs were in their 5^th year in 2013 and are judged by an independent panel of property experts; the purpose of the awards is to recognise and celebrate excellence in the UK property management industry.

PMS, who manage a property portfolio that spans the whole of Anglia, the South East, The South and London areas of the UK, were nominated by many of their clients and were contacted by the judging team to submit a supporting statement.  In October, PMS were announced as one of seven finalists and invited to attend the awards ceremony held at Troxy, a prestigious multi-purpose venue in London’s docklands area.

The judging panel for 2013/14 were the Director of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Residential Faculty Georgina Hiberd, The Chairman of the Federation of Private Residents Associations, Bob Smytherman and the Director of Real Estate for the British Property Federation, Ian Fletcher.

At the event were the Managing Director of PMS, Liza Reeves and Senior Site Manager Dean Everett.  Dean was also shortlisted as a finalist in the ‘Regional Property Manager of the Year Award’ which is designed to recognise excellence by an individual.

Liza and Dean were presented with the winning award on stage in front of almost six hundred property management industry professionals.

This is not the first coveted award that PMS have won; 2012 saw PMS secure a ‘very close’ runner-up position in the ‘ARMA-Q’ which is an independently judged scheme to recognise excellence in Property Management organised by the Association of Residential Managing Agents.  It follows that 2014 will be a very exciting year for PMS, almost certainly with more awards in the pipeline.  In the interim, this gives credibility to our boast that we really are the best Property Management Company outside of London.

1. PMS was formed in 1987 by the former Mayor of Colchester, Terry Sutton.  Control of the company has now passed to Liza Reeves (M.D.) and her dedicated Team.  We are based in the Severalls Business Park in Colchester.
