Follow on Google News | Online Spanish course for business professionals begins Jan. 15, 2014Montana State University offers an online Spanish course that includes words, phrases and situations most likely to occur for business professionals who converse with Spanish-speaking employees, colleagues and trade partners.
By: Montana State University Extended University "Spanish for Business" runs Jan. 15 through May 2 and includes the words, phrases and situations most likely to occur for business professionals who converse with Spanish-speaking employees, colleagues or trade partners. The course also covers Hispanic cultural aspects relevant to business and finance. The course is offered fully online and is designed for students who have little or no previous Spanish knowledge. Intermediate or advanced Spanish language learners can also benefit from refining their communication and etiquette skills within the context of their profession. Students from any major and professionals from any background may enroll in the course. The instructor is Katharina Frank Bernstein, who has taught first, second and third semester Spanish courses at MSU as well as a complete immersion course for honors students. Bernstein was born in Berlin, Germany, and has also lived in Panama, Mexico, Belize and Costa Rica. She earned her B.A. from MSU with a major in Spanish and a minor in German with a teaching option. She holds a Montana educators license and has taught Spanish at Park High in Livingston, LaMotte School near Bozeman, for the Adult Education Center in Bozeman, as well as at MSU.
