David Ireland's 'A Good Old Fashioned Christmas' Charity Single Supporting The Big Issue Foundation

David took a sidestep from recording his new album 'Cosmic Glue' this summer to record 'A Good Old Fashioned Christmas', a new Christmas song with a heart. The song has it's message of 'Peace and Understanding' firmly in place.

David explains: 'The song is written from the perspective of our times. No one really needs new stuff and so I included messages of 'make do and mend' and that kind of feeling. We are told that we are leaving the recession, and there is a feeling of optimism, but the bottom line is that many people are disadvantaged and just a little bit of help can change someone's life.'

The Big Issue Foundation was launched in 1995 to help address the issues that lead to homelessness. Homelessness is on the increase and The Big Issue Foundation and our song aim to raise public awareness – and to lend a helping hand.

20% of all gross revenues from downloads, CD sales and royalties for the lifetime of the song go to The Big Issue Foundation.
