Planning for the Railway of the future

London Underground and London Overground discuss future plans and current challenges at London based event
 
LONDON - Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Engineering, Operations and technical directors from the Rail industry will be meeting on March 12th in London to discuss challenges of implementing new technologies that will drive efficiencies for the UK and European transport network.

Two Senior UK leaders, George Clark, Engineering Director for Capital Programmes, London Underground, and Duncan Cross, London Overground and Crossrail Deputy Operations Director are two of the many professionals contributing to the discussion.

Organisers wanted to address implementation, interoperability, procurement and supplier challenges, as well as look further at human factors issues in transforming and planning for the railway of the future.

Additional contributors include GTT Metro Turin, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF, Thales Canada representing the NGTC program, and BC Transit Company from Vancouver discussing a unique case study on the technology they have relied upon for the last 28 years for their network.
