First Female Explorer Joins Elite Group of World Adventurers on Team Railriders

In a field dominated by men, one woman is trekking quickly along to catch up with the pack. Appointed as the first female member of Team RailRiders, Amanda Brown continues to break the barriers. With her adventure/survival partner Gary Humphrey.

BOSTON - Nov. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- With her adventure/survival partner Gary Humphrey she joins an elite group with 10 celebrated world explorers.

As a photographer she is recording history in real-time. Her solo adventures to countries allow her to explore the culture, enabling her to record and share her experiences for armchair adventurers around the world.

“John has assisted me in so many ways that I am proud to represent his company as the first woman on Team RailRiders,” said Amanda Brown. “For the first time in my life I am beginning to feel as though I am at home as I explore the world not beholden and attached to any one place.  It has nothing to do with where I am, but the people who come into my life. The foundation for my work has been built upon living in a way that most would never dare to venture, much less be able to succeed.”

As the first female and male team, Amanda Brown and Gary Humphrey take their followers through every adventure and exploration activity possible in the 30 days allotted in their host country during their “30 Days of Adventure”. With his background as a survival instructor in the British Special Forces and now as the co-star of Discovery Channel’s “Car vs. Wild” he has the innate instinct to keep them alive in all situations.

“Being part of the RailRiders team is about being an ambassador of exploration. The belief in the ethos, sense of adventure and being the best you can be is woven into the fiber of the clothing. You can feel the sense of wanderlust, emotion and common sense as the base from which John builds. I am excited to be representing the company as an ambassador and hope that Amanda and I can show the world a sense of adventure that they would not live otherwise,” said Gary Humphrey.
