As the sole representation of Northwest Florida on both lists and one of only three restaurants in Florida to be awarded, Cuvee's recognition shines a national spotlight on the city of Destin as well as the entire Emerald Coast's restaurant and tourism industries. OpenTable Diners' Choice Awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for approximately 19,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The Diners’ Choice Awards for the Top 100 American Fare Restaurants in the U.S. are generated from more than 5 million restaurant reviews collected from verified OpenTable diners between November 1, 2012, and October 31, 2013. All restaurants with a minimum “overall” score and number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of qualifying reviews for which “American cuisine” was selected as a special feature.
