LOS ANGELES - Nov. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Skyline Energy is currently piloting Residential and Commercial Solar system packaged with their advance battery storage technologies in California and have many reasons to believe that this is the new way for the growth of the Solar industry in the next decade and beyond. Skyline Energy is currently offering a deal that if you buy Solar PV system from them they will bundle the advance batteries for next to nothing in cost.

Skyline Energy in partnership with Pacific Energy recently applied and obtained a approved California supplier status in California's Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP).

SGIP currently provides a $1.80 per Watt incentive for Advanced Energy Storage technologies installed on the customer side of the utility meter. Eligible generation technologies from approved California suppliers receive an additional 20% incentive on top of the 60% allowed.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) administers the program through these participating utilities, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Southern California Edison (SCE), Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E). Retail electric and/or gas customers of these utilities are eligible to participate in SGIP.

The annual statewide incentive budget for Program Year 2013 authorized by the CPUC totals $77,190,000. Allocations for each Program Administrator are as follows:
Pacific Gas and Electric Company $33,480,000
Southern California Edison Company $26,040,000
California Center for Sustainable Energy $10,230,000
Southern California Gas Company $7,440,000

The Company believes the recent vote by the CPUC requiring utilities to buy 1.3 GW of Energy Storage power by 2020 and government sponsored programs such as SGIP indicate strongly that Energy Storage coupled with various renewable energy sources will become a standard commodity at home, business and in industry and Skyline Energy with their partners intend to leverage this future.

"SGIP and the extra 20% incentive available to eligible California suppliers is another example of a program that Skyline Energy will make full use of as we prepare to launch our advanced Energy Storage systems. The Cost of advance energy Storage has come down in prices over the years while the quality of the battery chemistry has risen to a very high reliability standard” said Robert Srinivas –President/CEO Skyline Energy.
