5 Toyota Models Land on List of Consumer Reports’ Top Picks

To be selected as a Consumer Report top pick, the vehicle must be considered the best all-around model in its specific category, and chosen from among more than 275 others. There are three select areas in which these vehicles are tested: road test, reliability, and safety. On the road test the car must be ranked near or at the top of their class; on the reliability test the vehicle must earn an average or better predicted-reliablity rating; and finally, it must perform well if selected for rollover or crash tests.

The following is a breakdown of each of the categories in which Toyota had a vehicle selected:
