Tucson Smiles Congratulates Newest Board Certified Pediatric Dentist

TUCSON, Ariz. - Nov. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Dr. Sally Tor, a member of the Tucson Smiles Pediatric Dentistry Team, recently became the newest Board Certified Pediatric Dentist in the practice.

As medical professionals, pediatric dentists have the opportunity to become certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Board Certification is awarded to those individuals that fulfill all necessary requirements and demonstrate exceptional dedication to their field.

“Any Board Certified practitioner will tell you it’s no easy task to complete a certification. Dr. Sally is dedicated to her field so I had no doubt she would meet all requirements to become a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. We are very proud of her,” says Dr. Priya Abramian, co-owner of Tucson Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.

Born and raised in Tucson, Dr. Sally Tor attended the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. She then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, AZ. During dental school, she also completed a Master’s in Public Health and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society.

After completing dental school, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist by completing a pediatric dental residency at the Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. During her residency, she received a Master’s Degree in Dentistry and several research awards for her thesis.

“Becoming a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist has always been one of my biggest goals.  I love working with children.  I look forward to a long career as a Pediatric Dentist in my hometown of Tucson,” explains Dr. Sally Tor of Tucson Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.
