Happy Birthday! The PPG is Two Years Old

In Celebration of Force-free Dog Training & Pet Care and their second anniversary, the PPG is sponsoring a virtual event for all pet lovers around the world

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Oxford, MS– The Pet Professional Guild (PPG), The Association for Force-Free Pet Professionals, proudly announces its first annual virtual event in celebration of force-free dog training and pet care around the world.  To commemorate its second anniversary the PPG is sponsoring 2014+R, the ‘+R’ representing the concept of positive reinforcement, the foundation of force-free training and pet care.

According to Niki Tudge, the president and founder of the PPG, “Our key advocacy goal is to facilitate an ongoing conversation with pet owners, pet care professionals and industry stakeholders aimed at moving the pet industry forward toward better informed practices, training methods, equipment use and pet care philosophies.  Because our members are located around the world we came up with a virtual event as the most practical way to celebrate our mission and commemorate two years as the only international membership organization committed to force-free training and pet care.”

The event information available on the PPG (http://www.petprofessionalguild.com/) website explains that members can join in the fun of the virtual 2014+R event, to show their commitment to all things force-free, by simply participating in a walk, jog, run or training session with their dog, alone or with others, anywhere, anytime.  Tudge says, “With our international membership a virtual event is the most effective and meaningful way for our group to celebrate our mission and help spread our message and our mission to build wide-spread collaboration and acceptance of force-free methods and philosophies consistent with our guiding principles.”

As part of the event, participants can submit photos showing the activity with their pet.  These photos will then be judged based on creativity and fun.  Winners will be awarded prizes. For more information visit  www.PetProfessionalGuild.com.
