Navicure Appoints Sheridan Johnson as Company’s First Chief Compliance and Security Officer

Johnson, Esq., as the company’s Chief Compliance and Security Officer. Johnson will be responsible for Navicure’s adherence with HIPAA regulations and ensuring data security. She will also continue to provide legal counsel to the company in collaboration with outside law firms including Morris, Manning, and Martin, and McDermott Will and Emery.

As the new HIPAA Omnibus protocols take effect, this is especially important in preparation for the significant ICD-10 regulatory transition in October 2014.

Johnson brings extensive legal experience to her new position, including providing outside counsel to Navicure during the past four years. Prior to 2007, Johnson served in a number of internal and external roles for Oxford Industries including corporate secretary, outside counsel, corporate counsel and assistant secretary. She also has worked for Long, Aldridge, and Norman LLP (now McKenna Long and Aldridge LLP), and Altman, Kritzer, and Levick LLP.
