By: JP Consulting Art on display will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the CBTF directly. There will be raffle prizes, and a featured painting will be auctioned off. A special preliminary September Workshop at CBTF titled "The Art of Healing" with Nils Hasche-Vasquez was held and the children's artwork will be on display and for sale to benefit the charity. You can purchase two of the donated paintings through CharityBuzz: About Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation: Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1988 by dedicated parents, physicians and friends. Our mission is to improve the treatment, quality of life and the long-term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumors through research, support, education, and advocacy to families and survivors. For more information: About Nils Hasche-Vasquez Art: Nils Hasche-Vásquez, born in Spokane, WA, of Chilean and German descent, formerly worked for New York Department of Education as a Full-time Art teacher. Hasche-Vásquez graduated with his Masters of Art Education from the School of Visual Arts in July 2010 and received his Bachelor of Fine Art in Studio Arts at the State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology in 2008. Hasche-Vásquez has also worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and completed a variety of art internships including: commercial artist studio, Silver Hill Atelier, the Educational Alliance Art School, and The Dalton School. He has also curated exhibitions at the Educational Alliance Art School, the German Consulate Building with Friends of the Freie Universität Berlin in New York City, and the Barnstable Comedy Club. Nils Hasche-Vasquez's New York City Windowscapes are a group of paintings from his current work depicting a variety of Window Landscape scenes of NYC. For more information: About Xanda McCagg Studio: Xanda McCagg is a NYC based painter. Her work has been shown in both solo and selected group exhibitions in New York, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, and internationally in Paris and Budapest, Hungary. Her abstract compositions, rooted in figurative concepts are made with oil, graphite and collage on canvas and paper.
