Volkswagen Reports Sucsessful Sales Numbers For September

The TDI Clean Diesel Volkswagen models accounted for a total of 24.4% of Volkswagen sales this past September for the automaker, which marked the best month ever for TDI sales. Models like the 2014 Volkswagen Passat TDI, which is the only clean diesel vehicle in its segment, sold a total of 2,784 units last month. This accounts for 35.2% of all Volkswagen Passat models sold in September 2013, which totaled 7,900. Named as the “Most Fuel Efficient Family-Friendly Sedan” by the Good Housekeeping Research Institute, the Volkswagen Passat’s growing popularity is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Volkswagen Jetta continues to be the most popular Volkswagen model in the lineup, as it sold a total of 13,309 units this past September. The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Turbo Hybrid (http://www.autobarnvwelite.com/models/2013-volkswagen-jet...) continues to attract consumers, as a total of 887 of them were sold last month and experienced a 7.7% increase in sales over September 2012.

The Volkswagen Beetle saw a significant increase in sales last month, with a total of 3,554 units moved versus 2,622 vehicles sold in September of last year. With increased availability of the 2014 Volkswagen Beetle, these sales figures are expected to rise as well.

Experiencing its best September ever, the Volkswagen Tiguan had a 9.3% increase in sales in September 2013 versus September 2012. A total of 2,406 Tiguan vehicles were sold compared to the 2,202 sold in September of last year.
