Follow on Google News | Grand Junction College Students Treat Tour of the Valley Riders to Free MassagesStudents from the massage-therapy training program at IntelliTec College of Grand Junction took part in the 25th annual Tour of the Valley on Sunday, August 25, 2013 by offering free chair and sports massages to Tour participants.

intellitec- This was the fourth year that Massage Therapy students participated in the Tour of the Valley. Approximately 15 students attended the event with a desire to give back to the community. Beginning and advanced students took part and gave sports and chair massages from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. According to Madeline Brown, an instructor in the Massage Therapy training program, the athletes really enjoyed the massages and came back several times. For many, the massages are something they look forward to each year. Visit http://www.intelliteccollege.com/ The Tour of the Valley is a 30-100 mile bike tour that takes riders on a tour of beautiful Western Colorado including Fruita, Palisade and the famous Colorado National Monument. Participants can choose to ride 30, 50, 75 or 100 miles. Tour activities began at 6:00 a.m. with breakfast and ended with dinner at 5:00 p.m. Over 1,000 riders signed up for the August 25th event. The Tour is organized by Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Proceeds from the event go to community education programs through Community Hospital, the Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association and a scholarship fund at Colorado Mesa University.
