Was there sufficient evidence to arrest you? Was there sufficient to charge you? Was there enough to keep you on bail for month after month? Did the police has a malicious intent against you personally? Did they follow proper procedure. The Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) can often guide us as to what we are entitled to expect and any breach of PACE can assist our potential claim. It is a complex area and solicitors are often loathe to get involved. I work on the basis that the other side (be it the police or otherwise) are lying through the back of their teeth.
