Claim against the Police? Police complaint? Assaulted by the Police? Legal Adviser Milton Firma

The extent of police incompetence, mismanagement and much worse is staggering. legal adviser Milton Firman listens to it every day. Horrific stories of those charged when there is no real evidence and those others mistreated. Time to fight back.

MANCHESTER, U.K. - Oct. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Are you wanting to make a claim  against the police? Milton Firman offers a solution.

On a daily basis, I take on cases against the police where the treatment of my client beggars belief. They often have injuries to show, but the mental scars are much more invidious. They may have been punched, ignored, abused, or mistreated. It is astounding. We think we live in  a civilised society but far too often it is an illusion.

There are many misunderstandings regarding potential  claims against the police, and so it is important to clarify certain basic principles. Firstly, there is no automatic right to compensation if you have been acquitted of a charge. The fact that you were found not guilty either by Magistrate(s) or the jury at the Crown Court does not entitle you per se to make a claim. What you need to look at is the process of prosecution. Was there sufficient evidence to arrest you? Was there sufficient to charge you? Was there enough to keep you on bail for month after month? Did the police has a malicious intent against you personally? Did they follow proper procedure. The Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) can often guide us as to what we are entitled to expect and any breach of PACE can assist our potential claim. It is a complex area and solicitors are often loathe to get involved. I work on the basis that the other side (be it the police or otherwise) are lying through the back of their teeth. Let them prove otherwise.

At The Legal Company we believe in access to the law for everyone. By providing a fairly unique solution, we think we achieve this to a substantial extent. We provide an initial Free Assessment of your case. There is no obligation. If we believe the case has real merit, for a moderate fixed fee we instruct one of our panel barristers to adviose on  the prospects of the case in the hope that he is able to take on the case on a no win no fee basis. This then means he takes the risk on  his costs. He wins, he gets his costs, he loses, he waives his fees. It can work exceedingly well, but only where the client has a decent case. That is why we pre-vet them in house and tell you - as it is.

Everyone deserves respect. I demend it, and always try to show everyone respect. Some police officers are jolly good at what they do; others let power and status go to their head and make judgments about others they are not entitled to make.
