By: Natural High Natural High has grown tremendously since its inception, now collaborating with more than 16,000 educators to reach nearly 7 million youth across the country. They aim to reach 12 million youth by 2015. This gala is one of their largest opportunities to garner support from their greatest supporters and fundraisers. “We have a lot to celebrate, having grown to reach over 7 million youth,” said Natural High Founder Jon Sundt. “This gala marks this celebration, but it also serves as a reminder that we can’t reach our goals alone. Our friends, our advocates, our ambassadors— Jordyn was selected as this year’s honoree because of her positive, drug-free example, and her dedication to the pursuit of her natural high. She serves as an exemplary role model to young women worldwide. She stars in the next release of Natural High’s video series, which will be published on Natural High’s new digital platform this fall. She joins other stars and drug-free role models such as Bethany Hamilton, Lauren Conrad, Cassadee Pope, Travis Pastrana, Terry Kennedy, and Paul Rodriguez Jr. who have all lent their stories to the Natural High curriculum. Natural High makes this curriculum available free of charge to over 16,000 educators nationwide. Paul is being honored as the first ever Natural High ChangeMaker for his tremendous support and longtime commitment to Natural High’s mission. Paul is a former senior partner at PIMCO, the world’s largest premier fixed income investment advisory firm, and currently serves as Chairman of the Society of Fellows of the Global Interdependence Center in Philadelphia, PA. He is also the executive producer of The Anonymous People, a documentary film about the 23 million Americans living in long-term recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. He will be hosting a private screening of the film for Natural High supporters the day following the gala, October 20th. The organization will also honor Educator of the Year, Middle School Counselor Angie Morrison, from Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Natural High video contest winner, Emily Laliotis from Canyon Crest Academy. Tickets for the Natural High reception, auction and dinner are $250 per person. Guests can purchase VIP tickets for $350, or reserve a table of 10 for $2,500 and $3,500 respectively. The event will run from 6 to 10 p.m. at Hilton Torrey Pines La Jolla. To purchase tickets or make a gift, please visit www.naturalhigh.org.
