Sept. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Habitat for Humanity of Wake County and Coastal Federal Credit Union will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at 9 a.m. on Saturday September 14 at a new home site located at 4911 Werribee Drive in Raleigh, NC. This event is open to the public. Coastal Federal Credit Union is the exclusive sponsor of this home construction project, which was generously funded by the company’s fundraising initiative, “Share the Love.” This home is one of 32 being constructed by Habitat Wake and its partners this year.

Coastal Federal Credit Union raised $100,000 for the construction of this home through the support of individuals, friends, families and coworkers within Coastal. The “Share the Love” campaign included social media interaction by Facebook and Twitter as well as numerous fundraising events. This successful effort provided great value to Coastal employees, members, and others who engaged in this effort. The campaign also ensures that the partner family will be able to purchase a safe, affordable home.

“Habitat Wake is so grateful for Coastal Federal’s partnership. The enthusiasm and support of their associates and customers proved an impressive effort to raise funds to buy land and build an affordable home for the partner family,” states Kevin Campbell, President/CEO of Habitat Wake.
