HEATHFIELD, U.K. - Aug. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- The work of a Chatham web development company has been shortlisted in the 2013 CIPR PRide Awards.

Netsite Ltd has been nominated in the Best Use of Digital category for its work onwww.healthyclub.nhs.uk with Kent County Council.

Netsite Managing Director Paul Duthoit said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted for our work on The Healthy Club website. The team has very much enjoyed working on this project first with the NHS and then Kent County Council. It’s such an important website and is really helping to improve people’s lives.”

The Healthy Club started as a pilot for NHS West Kent who wanted an engaging and highly interactive website to raise awareness of the importance of healthy living, diet and exercise while supporting lifestyle behaviour changes. It was initially a year-long project as part of the national Change4Life programme and the first site of its type at a local level.

From April 1 2013 Kent County Council (KCC) took on responsibility for some Public Health functions including health improvement and The Healthy Club.

Local funding was obtained to continue the project and Netsite was briefed to improve the design of the website and incorporate new features. Meanwhile the site was rolled out across Kent after all local authorities were invited to participate.

The objectives were to re-design and re-launch the website; incorporate a range of new, innovative and interactive features and roll-out The Healthy Club across the county.

The CIPR PRide Awards recognise the outstanding talents and achievements of public relations practitioners across the UK’s regions and nations. They are the most prestigious and rigorous awards of their kind.

Commenting on this year’s shortlist announcement, CIPR President Sue Wolstenhome FCIPR, said: “The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the very best in public relations from across the UK’s regions and nations. This year’s entries were all of an incredibly high standard, highlighting the industry-leading work that is taking place right across the UK. I would like to congratulate all of those who have been shortlisted for an award; their success demonstrates their exemplary achievements in such a thriving profession, and recognises the impact they have made in their region and beyond.”
