Miss Chloe Othen represents the South of England after being chosen over other hopefuls earlier in 2013.
Chloe is a young British model who was first spotted by model scouts at The Clothes Show Live event in 2009, this led onto a Bridal - Worldwide Weddings & Honeymoons front cover shoot in Majorca. Chloe Othen (born 02 September 1990) was crowned Miss Model of the World UK on November 26, 2011. The 23rd Miss Model of the World Contest International Grand Final Awards ceremony was at China folk culture village in Shenzhen province. Models representing 60 nations assembled and travelled around China for 4 weeks before the Grand Final.
Having had much success modelling from a young age representing brands such as Fashion TV, NARS Cosmetics, TODS, Breitling, MYO Fashion, Sahara (relocated to India) and many swimwear brands. Chloe claims that many of her ambitions were accomplished through pageantry and much of her professional reward has come from coaching, networking and a determination to succeed crafted primarily from this arena. Chloe claims that winning Miss Earth 'England' will be her finest achievement to date and hopes to work with the UK management team to further develop herself and the cause.
Many regard the Miss Earth pageant as the pyramid tip of their overall pageantry experience and many of the finalists are previous title holders (various/alternative pageants).
In the run up to the final in Blackpool on the 25th August, Chloe has promoted Stardust Boutique's message 'Wear Sparkles Not Fur' and amongst others has worked with the RSPCA to raise awareness through charitable funding from public contributions.
Chloe made a valid statement before she was crowned as the South of England representative, "We need to work together to take care of one thing that relates to us all...The Earth. It is important to look after the planet and take pride in going green. I am deeply passionate about becoming an Ambassador for environmental protection campaigns worldwide".
Apart from a strong emphasis on environmental protection programs, MISS EARTH also aims to showcase and promote various tourist destinations. Every year, 80 to 90 candidates from all over the world compete on beauty and knowledge of environmental issues.
