CHANDLER, Ariz. - Aug. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC is excited to announce the eBook release of novelist Elaine Hamill’s second book, “Two Killers on the Loose.” In a journey of fate and choice, five inmates break free of their death row cells; some will be captured, but others will hide in the shadows and live out their days…on the loose. Two Killers on the Loose (http://www.amazon.com/Two-Killers-Loose-ebook/dp/B00EJ26OFK/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1376494671&sr=1-1&keywords=two+killers+elaine+hamill) is currently available in all popular eBook formats from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other fine retailers with the print release scheduled for late-2013, to be distributed by Ingram, the world’s largest book wholesaler and On-demand from the Espresso Book Machine.

As New Orleans prepares to face the destructive force of a hurricane, state prison officials initiate plans to relocate the inmates to penitentiaries in Texas and Alabama.

That is…all but five death row inmates.

With the last of their appeals now exhausted, these men are prepared to live the last of their days in a cold, dark cell—a burden to society and, to the three officers left behind to guard them.

Certain that the inadequately built levees will not last long against the surging tides, the inmates face a difficult decision—attempt an escape, or drown beneath Lake Pontchartrain’s flooding waters.

On the run now, and with few options, it’s not long before the authorities apprehend two of the convicts in Texas and a third is fatally shot during a failed bank robbery.

Now, there are Two Killers on the Loose.

For seven years, the two convicts manage to evade the law until one of them reverts back to his criminal ways and is soon on the run again. For the remaining escapee, though, life takes on an entirely new dimension. Soon, he meets a woman capable of shaping him into a respectable—and successful—man.

But, living a life of paranoia offers little freedom.

“Using her unique ability to connect with readers, author Elaine Hamill presents a tale of tragedy and circumstance—rich in both emotional intensity and dramatic impact,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Similar in style and feel to Stephen King’s bestselling novel, The Green Mile, Two Killers on the Loose offers revelatory insights into the motivating forces that surround and engage the human spirit.”

Author Elaine Hamill’s background is a diverse one, from time spent as a nun at the Society of the Holy Child, to a pursuit in architecture. Somehow, she was led back to writing and a desire to offer something of benefit to others. Now retired, when not writing, Ms. Hamill is an avid portrait painter who also enjoys furniture building and design, reading, telling jokes, and other sorts of mischief.
