In the US, sales of science fiction romance books has increased to $590.2 million. Smith, has experienced the surge in interest in the genres ‘forgotten’ by traditional publishing. “I started writing science fiction romance three years ago following years of frustration in trying to find books to read in this genre. Finally I decided that if I wanted to read science fiction romance stories, I needed to write them myself.”
