RALEIGH, NC  - August 11, 2013 - Keith McMasters (aka) Keith Mack creates an original song performed by Fantasia Barrino in the upcoming anticipated movie Lee Daniels’ The Butler directed and produced by Mr. Lee Daniels.

In 2002, the life of Keith McMasters (aka) Keith Mack changed dramatically. He went from being a truck driver in the small town of Asheboro, NC to a Grammy nominated music producer in Atlanta, Ga. It was rapper Ludacris who was getting a routine haircut, heard Keith's music in the barbershop. Ludacris jumped on the track and together, he and Keith created the Grammy nominated hit single Act a Fool, marking it the first song and major album deal for Keith. Act a Fool also appeared as a score in the blockbuster hit film The fast and The Furious as well as the films soundtrack. He eventually signed with rapper T.I.'s label Grand Hustle and became well known as a fresh and innovative producer throughout the music industry.

It has been 6 years and Keith has been on hiatus mostly concentrating on family life and refocusing his passion. This summer Grammy award winner Fantasia and Director Lee Daniels contacted Keith about an opportunity to create a song for the civil rights inspired movie Lee Daniels' The Butler. Keith Mack, who has produced for artists such as Ludacris, Chingy, Boyz N Da Hood (Bad Boy Records), and Jamie Foxx was excited about the opportunity to work with Lee Daniels' The Butler.  The song, "In the Middle of the Night," has a thought-provoking lyrical composition that stresses the reality of each character in the film. The musical elements of a piano and tambourine provide a deep sense of spirituality and emotional liberation. With contributions from Fantasia, Ricco Barrino, and Abel Terry, this song will truly impact the film's tense moments.

Lee Daniels' The Butler is based on the true story of a black man who served eight US presidents. Forest Whitaker stars as Cecil Gaines, whose story is based on the real-life White House butler Eugene Allen. Allen served presidents between 1952 and his retirement in 1986, by which time he had risen from a lowly pantry man to the head role, Maître d'.

Daniels' film stars Oprah Winfrey, in her first big screen role since 1998's Beloved, as Gaines's wife, Gloria. Britain's David Oyelowo plays his son, Louis, who becomes a freedom fighter during the civil rights era, a role that brings him into conflict with his father.

With this movie set to release in all theater locations the US August 16- timing suggests an Oscars run in 2014.

With Keith revitalized, he is set to make a major impact in the film industry. His song "In the Middle of the Night" truly captures the true essence of Lee Daniels' The Butler. It's safe to say that this won't be the last opportunity for Keith McMasters in the film industry.
