Rhythm & Beyond in collaboration with Art & Beyond Studio Presents

NILES, Ill. - Aug. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- On August 24^th and 25^th, 2013, Nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, Mila Ryk, Elana Ashley and Paula Smiles will be featured in “The Nature and Women” a three woman show at Rhythm & Beyond Corp. in collaboration with Art & Beyond Studio, Inc. in Niles, Illinois.

This exhibit will be a very special one, featuring artwork from three female artists whose style is uniquely different from one another.  The works that will be exhibited range from the nude female form to colorful landscape and will intrigue  Works from artists Mila Ryk, Elana Ashley and Paula Smiles have been featured in major art galleries and can be seen in both private and corporate collections around the world.

Mila Ryk: A 3^rd generation artist born in Ukraine, Mila immigrated to the United States in 1991. Inspired by Art Nouveau and amazed by the endless beauty of Orchids, Mila developed a unique style and technique, which gave her the ability to share her vision and feelings with the world. Mila unites the curved figurative lines, brushstrokes, colors and nature in one single form of harmony and beauty. Mila is the sole proprietor/owner of Art & Beyond Studio, Inc., and co-owner of Rhythm & Beyond School of Dance, Music and Art in Niles, Illinois, USA. She is listed with the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry as an Honored Member and is published in the 2007-8 edition of the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals. She is an active member of the Skokie Art Guild.

Dr. Elana Ashley: Developed her talents over the years in a variety of creative directions including cartooning, ceramics, puppet-making, jewelry, fiber art, painting and mixed-media. The artist takes joy in every moment, in every splash of color, in ever-changing emotions and physical healing, in visions seen and unseen. Her artistic focus is to interweave bold colors into ever-changing tapestries of human, animal, plant and abstract images. Sometimes, however, she shifts into quieter, more subtle tones, and the artwork reflects dreamlike, mystical and spiritual dimensions of her mind and heart.

Paula Smiles: At Age 14 she misheard the word “nude” for “new” and signed up for a live drawing class with new (nude) models. So her journey began. Paula’s drawings do not strive to be a narrative, but rather a distortion of a form in humor. She does not attempt to depict a particular person and drawing focus away from the ‘who’ has led her to invent her own so-called “Pinhead” people.  Drawing in pen and colored pencil allows her the control the lines and put together the pieces of puzzles that make the drawing work.  Her passion for drawing has evolved from her early years at the YAS-School of the Art Institute of Chicago to exhibiting at the JCC of Houston, The Figurative Art League in Evanston, the Skokie Art Guild, She Art Gallery in Oak Park, National Pastime Theatre in Chicago and Phantom Gallery in Chicago

The exhibition will run for two days only! Meet the artists: Saturday, August 24^th from 11:00 am to 5:00pm and Sunday, August 25^th from 11:00am – 4:00pm.
