Large trees and bushes dominated the cemetery; many people passing by would not know it was there. John Beagle, a local businessman that’s active in the Linesville community, said it’s been more than two decades since the cemetery has been maintained. “I was a boy scout leader more than 20 years ago,” said Beagle. “Back then, I took a troop of boy scouts here to clear the land of undergrowth and trees. It’s been more than 20 years since this cemetery has received any attention.” More than 20 MFG Tray teammates came prepared with chainsaws, rakes and pruning shears and cut away truckloads of trees and brush. Beagle and members of the Gehr family were very grateful. “The Gehr family and myself are both very grateful for MFG Tray’s efforts,” John Thompson, general manager at MFG Tray, said he is proud of the work they accomplished. “There’s a precious account of history in this cemetery,” MFG Tray is a division of Molded Fiber Glass Companies, a world leader in fiber reinforced composites.
