Dean Goetz Attorney to Represent Victims Who Received the ABG II Modular Hip Stem

Dean Goetz Attorney to Represent Victims Who Received the ABG II Modular Hip Stem and Stryker Rejuvenate Hip Stem

SAN DIEGO - Aug. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Hip replacement surgery is designed to provide patients suffering through years of pain and discomfort with much needed relief. Unfortunately, certain replacement devices manufactured by Stryker Orthopedics are having the opposite effect, causing crippling problems for its recipients. In response to this, personal injury attorney Dean Goetz has announced his intent to represent victims of Stryker’s faulty hip replacement devices in a court of law.

The two hip stems in questions are the Stryker Rejuvenate and the Styker ABG II Modular. Both devices were recalled after representatives at Stryker realized that the devices metal components were susceptible to corrosion at the modular-neck junction. Patients fitted with the one of the devices have cited extreme pain, swelling, and increases injuries since undergoing surgery. These unfortunate side effects have cited numerous problems including loss of mobility, pain and swelling since having Stryker hip replacement surgery. The metal debris in the hip joint can cause metalosis which may result in tissue and muscle damage in the hip joint capsule.

An industry professional boasting a myriad of demonstrated results, Dean Goetz has handled numerous hip recall cases and is renowned for procuring maximum compensation for his clients. He recently won an $8.34 million verdict in the DuPuy ASR Hip Lawsuit. Yet despite the severity of the damages caused by the DuPuy ASR, Attorney Goetz opines that the damage caused by the Stryker Rejuvenate and ABGII could be worse.

In response to patient outcries, Stryker suggested that patients who had received one of the hip stems be evaluated for high metal ion levels and adverse tissue reactions. They are advised to undergo blood workups and MRIs.

Litigation in the matter is moving along as a steady pace. On May 30th oral arguments were heard by the US Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. A presiding judge is expected to be determined within the next six weeks, after which the cases will be consolidated and sent for additional research.

In the meantime Attorney Dean Goetz is recommending that patients victimized by a Stryker hip stem contact a personal injury lawyer with experience dealing with hip recall cases. Attorney Goetz strongly urges that Stryker patients contact him before they contact Stryker or their hired agent, Broadspire, to get information about their  legal rights.
