NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- 04/10/2013 – Newport Beach, CA – Mississippi has adopted the NAIC Suitability in Annuity Transactions Model Regulation 4 hour course, as well as the requirement that all producers complete a Product Specific Training course for the products they intend to sell.

Success Continuing Education is pleased to announce that the state of Mississippi has approved their NAIC Annuity Suitability course. This course satisfies the annuity training requirement. Mississippi producers who complete this course will also receive 4 hours of insurance continuing education credit. This course can be accessed at www.successce.com.

Mississippi producers who are life licensed prior to 04/10/2013 must complete a one-time 4 hour Annuity Suitability course by 04/10/2014 to continue to sell annuities. Individuals licensed between 04/10/2013 and 09/01/2013 who desire to sell annuities must complete this training by 09/01/2013. Individuals licensed on or after 09/01/2013 may not engage in the sale of annuities until they have completed this training.

This requirement applies to both resident and non-resident producers. Mississippi will however accept the completion of annuity training in a state with substantially similar annuity training requirements.

“Success Continuing Education offers the NAIC annuity suitability course, state-specific CE courses, and general continuing education needed for license renewal,” states Jessie Booth, Success CE’s Marketing Director.

In addition to the 4-Hour Annuity Suitability requirement, producers must complete training that is specific to the product they intend to sell. Product Specific Training is provided by the carriers.

“Success CE is capable of providing and tracking all annuity suitability and Product Specific Training requirements, which is very useful when trying to ensure all producers are compliant. In addition, we have made enhancements to our Product Specific Training platform. With these recent enhancements, we now have the ability to automatically place the correct Annuity Suitability and Product Specific Training courses directly into each individual’s account,” states Justin Genuino of Success CE’s IT Team.

Success CE offers a convenient and free resource that tracks all annuity training requirements nationwide, and is updated to reflect changes as soon as they are enacted. This can be accessed at http://www.successce.com/PSTAnnuityTrainingRequirement.aspx.
