UNCASVILLE, Conn. - July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- The Autism Speaks Southeastern Connecticut Community has proudly partnered once again with the Connecticut Sun to host it’s 4th annual Autism Awareness Night on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Come out and show your support for Autism Speaks and cheer on the Connecticut Sun as they take to the court against the Indiana Fever. Game starts at 7PM.

The Southeastern Connecticut Autism Speaks events highlight the growing need for concern and awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorders. “We are excited to work together with Autism Speaks for the 4th consecutive year. The work they do and the visibility they provide this cause is exceptional – we are proud to play a small role informing our community about this cause.” Says Christopher Sienko, Vice President and General Manager Connecticut Sun.

2013's Autism Awareness Night with the Connecticut Sun aims to promote awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders to the general public, to provide free informational materials to families at our staffed table, and to provide the autism community and their family and friends, an opportunity to enjoy a great night of basketball with discounted tickets from Autism Speaks.

Please note, that the Mohegan Sun Arena can be a highly stimulating place. Those with sound sensitivity may benefit from wearing earplugs or headphones to dull the sound.  The Connecticut Sun has graciously provided an Escape Zone should the environment become too overwhelming.  The Mohegan Sun employees assigned to staff the arena that night will be given information about autism as well as briefed before the game.
