SWTOR Datacron Locations - Boost Your Player Stats by Finding Datacrons

NEW YORK - July 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Datacrons are highly useful objects that you can collect on your travels throughout the Star Wars the Old Republic universe. They are spread out over all the worlds you end up visiting. Each datacron provides a unique benefit. They are also color coded for categorization. Each color represents what stat the object will increase. Some datacrons will also provide what is called a Matrix Shard.

When you come across a datacron you will almost immediately know that you have. This is because they are unique in shape (a techy looking cube) and also give off a colored glow. The color depends on what the datacron gives you as far as either a stat boost or shard. To the right of this text you will see an image of a datacron for reference.

Color Coding is As Follows:

Red – Strength
Green – Endurance
Blue – Aim
Purple – Willpower
Yellow – Presence
Orange – Cunning
White – Matrix Shard

Why You Want to Find Them
The datacrons that provide instant stat boosts are permanent and you have to do nothing more for them. Those that provide Matrix Shards work differently, however. In order to receive benefits from them you need more than just one shard. You actually need to combine multiple, different-colored shards using a Matrix Assembly (both the Republic and Empire possess these) to create a Matrix Cube. Matrix Cubes also provide stat increases but are used as passive boosts that integrate with your armor, weapons, etc. Different cubes have different levels and may produce higher stat increases as the cube level increases. Overall they can provide stat boosts of up to 70+.

Datacrons also update your codex entries with information regarding the history of the galaxy. There are many different entries that can be collected but you cannot acquire all parts with a single character due to the fact that some are available to Republic players and others to Empire players. SWTOR Datacron locations vary slightly but are generally the same for both Republic and Empire characters. Datacrons can be found on any of the SWTOR planets including:

Ord Mantell
Tython
Alderaan
Balmorra
Belsavis
Corellia
Coruscant
Dromund Kaas
Hoth
Ilum
Nar Shaddaa
Quesh
Tatooine
Taris
Voss

Other locations include both the Repubilc and Empire fleets.
