This actuator is a compact, state-of-the-art low-torque motor, with a magnetic spring return. It is perfect for low-weight inertial loads (such as flags, filters, and other optical elements). The VRAD-506 actuator works just like the other award-winning VRAD products from ScannerMAX, offering a similar fail-safe, magnetic spring return, and bidirectional, wide-angle motion capability.  However, the new VRAD-506 actuator is packaged in a different form factor, having a half-inch round body and 0.6 inch length.

The VRAD-506 actuator features two coils, which aid in diverse applications, and can also be used to provide redundancy where other conventional solutions may have fallen short. In addition, the VRAD-506 actuator provides 28 degrees of motion, with only 5 volts of input.
