Former Oakland Raiders' Player to Host Women's Conference

FAIRFIELD, Calif. - June 27, 2013 - PRLog -- (Fairfield, CA)  Jerone Davison used to play hard to help the Oakland Raiders win games, now he works hard to bring souls into the fold.  This coming August Davison, one of the area’s ministerial leaders, will host the Spiritual Fragrance Women’s Conference, an event designed to inspire and strengthen a woman’s belief in her ability to overcome obstacles of any kind.   The two-day conference begins on August 3rd at 12:30pm with a luncheon and panel discussion where nationally-acclaimed businesswoman and Pastor Riva Tims will speak and local singer Janay Davison will perform.  It continues on August 4th at 3pm with another appearance by Tims and performances by best-selling gospel artist Alexis Spight.  The event will take place at the Courtyard Marriot, 1350 Holiday Lane, Fairfield, CA.  Call 707-422-5200 to register or visit the event’s Facebook page to register online.  Special rates are available for early registration (ends July 3) and groups. Keynote speaker Riva Tims is a successful business-woman; television and radio show host; and CEO and founder of the Majestic Life Institute in Florida.  She speaks around the country and has been featured in major national magazines (Ebony and Essence, among others) and in other print, broadcast and Internet media.  She is author of the bestseller When It All Falls Apart, which details her personal struggle after her husband, a renowned minister of a mega church, died suddenly.   She is winner of the National Association of Professional Women Woman of the Year Award for 2010/2011 and numerous other commendations.

Alexis Spight’s first album continues to top Billboard’s gospel charts. She is a New York native who was discovered after singing on BET’s “Sunday Best” television show.  She now performs with R&B star Fantasia and other major entertainers around the country.

Davison is also an author.  He wrote the book that inspired the conference – Spiritual Fragrance of A Woman. It was a 2008 Amazon bestseller.
