"Timeless Music Has No Expiration Date" Says Award-Winning Songwriter/Producer Randall Michael Tobin

Bucking current pop music trends, "Vocalessence" by Amy is slowly but surely reaching out to generations of music lovers, with great songs that will stand the test of time.

BURBANK, Calif. - June 20, 2013 - PRLog -- According to award-winning songwriter and producer Randall Michael Tobin, "Contemporary music can be broken down into two categories: songs that are remembered for generations, and songs that are quickly forgotten. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground." Randall continued, "Just ask someone to think of a great song. Chances are, they'll name you a song from years ago; not something currently on the radio."

Such seems to be the state of affairs in Pop radio today: an endless succession of "songs" that are more recognizable for their technological ear candy, rather than honesty, message, musicianship and heart. But Randall Michael Tobin and an extraordinary singer, Amy, are on a mission to bypass the noise and bring timeless music directly to generations of music lovers around the world.

"What better way to introduce people to this great music than through the internet?" said Tobin. "We can reach anyone in the world with a computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection, and we've built a state-of-the-art web site that takes the listener on a journey into the making of this classic record. Imagine being able to see and hear what it's like to be in the recording studio when an album is being created. I wish I had that opportunity when I was younger. I didn't... so I built my own studio!"

Randall noted, "Clearly, a paradigm shift is needed if the music business is to experience a true renaissance similar to what happened during the 60s and 70s. The music from that era still gets played a lot. It was the soundtrack for the lives of millions of people. And although there were a few great artists who broke through in the 80s and 90s, the industry as a whole has stopped looking for innovative talent, hence the dearth of songs that could last a lifetime or more."

Amy is a young artist who writes and sings beyond her years. She's quite at home with an introspective song about a child transitioning to adulthood, as well as singing a jazz ballad that recently won the 14th Annual Great American Song Contest. Then there's Amy's over-the-top playfulness in the classic hit, "That's Amore," contrasted with the message of bringing some real values back into our lives in "We Need More." All in all, there are twelve songs that grow on you with every listening. They are not soon forgotten, rather, they are sure to be remembered for generations to come.
